Heavy Duty HVAC
Heavy duty truck (class 6-8) HVAC systems continue to become more complex. Passenger comfort is vital and must be done correctly the first time. Our HD HVAC class will help encourage doing the job correctly the first time, ensure accurate diagnosis, and promote best practices.
This class will educate the technician on how different systems operate and review refrigeration principles to ensure accurate system diagnosis. This class will cover R134a as well as R1234yf systems and their related system components.
After completing this class, a technician will be able to:
- Identify and diagnose HVAC components and their impact on HVAC operation
- Understand safe refrigerant handling and proper procedures
- Accurately diagnose and service HVAC systems
- Properly replace HVAC components and related electronics
- Perform correct HVAC service per regulations

Snap-on will be at Anderson County to conduct Cummins Engine Diagnostics training. This class is free and limited, so register early!

This Instructor-led Training course will teach technicians about the operation and diagnosis of vehicle communication networks. Technicians will learn about the relevant history of networking and related government regulations, as well as computer communication and its automotive applications. The course covers the types of network protocols, vehicle networks and topologies, data communication systems, and automotive computer networks. The course includes network diagnostics and service procedures. Diagnostic techniques will be applied on vehicles to help technicians develop problem solving skills.
